Volunteers at
FOCP make a tremendous difference by providing invaluable support
to Colonial Pemaquid as well as having a really good time! Volunteer
opportunities include:
- FOCP Board Membership:
a total of 18 members as governing body
- Fundraising:
generate projects for both small and large programs
- Education: organize
weekly lectures, special visitor events
- Finance: create
budget and monthly reports, monitor expenses
- Gift Shop: establish
inventory of pertinent goods, serve customers
- Interpretive
Volunteers: meet and interact with visitors about the history
of the site
- Long Range Planning:
coordinate future site plans with Maine officials
- Membership: solicitation
of new business and/or personal memberships, newsletter/summer
program/dues/donations mailings, etc.
- Parade: design
and prepare theme for float in two local parades
- Publicity: prepare
press releases for local newspapers and periodicals
- Records: maintain
storage files of pertinent historical and active records
- General Volunteers:
provide support for weekly activities, parking, cleanup, etc.
- Website: coordinate
with site manager, respond to inquiries, update the web site
