The Friends of Colonial Pemaquid will re-open their Gift Shop this year at a new location in the front of the historic Fort House. Part-time shopkeepers will be needed in our newly-refurbished Shop which will have updated gifts that are site-related (‘branded’) as well as colonial toys and books, works by local artists and authors, Maine crafts, salt glaze pottery, Maine and Celtic music, pirate novelties, Native American books and jewelry, and candy.
Volunteers -flexible hours; no prior retail experience required- will have the opportunity to meet all kinds of interesting people, plus all proceeds from the gift shop are applied toward on-site educational projects and programs designed to enhance the experiences of our visitors.
If you are considering volunteering, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
